My new game

My new game is called "Attack Mommy!" I play this game whenever I can. Something just comes over me and I have to "eat" her face and pulling her hair is always fun too. I don't really know why, but she always laughs!

In my corner

I have discovered this corner of the family room! Since I'm crawling so much now (and getting really red knees) I have been on the go and have found this area behind the leather chair. Mommy lets me go back there as long as she's right there to watch. I love the bar stools too! Sometimes I crawl through them like a tunnel and sometimes I pull up on them to look around, but TODAY I decided to pull myself up IN one!

I used to like to eat.....

See? I really did like to eat at one time. Now I have this hard, jagged thing coming through my gum and eating just isn't as fun as it used to be!

Down memory lane.....

As Mommy and Daddy are preparing to go back to work on Monday, they have really been taking advantage of their time here at home with me lately. We have had so much fun this summer, the timing was PERFECT and I was able to put on a real show for them as I did all those things (like sit, crawl, use a sippy cup, and pull up). I even got my FIRST TOOTH the day before they had to go back to work. Am I perfect or what? Mommy is really sad that she has to go back to work, but when she was cleaning out my drawer this morning she came across this hat. Can you believe how big I've gotten?!? Here I am on the day of my birth wearing my "Carter" hat (which was the first piece of clothing Mommy and Daddy gave me) and here I am wearing the hat this morning! You can't tell I've grown at all, can you?

Retro Rocket!

My Grandpa got me this great new toy - thanks, Grandpa! It's my first "ride-on" toy and I absolutely love it! At first I was only interested in watching all the lights on it and pushing the buttons to hear the noise, but I soon discovered I could ride on this thing! I'm not quite tall enough to reach the floor with my feet, but Mommy and Daddy drive me around in circles throughout the house. I have them wrapped around my little finger, don't I?!?

Lots of "firsts"

Eight months has brought many new accomplishments! I have been standing for quite some time now, but these last few weeks have been very eventful! I have been cruising around my big toys, taking a few steps with Mommy and Daddy's help and yesterday I pulled myself up to my toys! I can't believe how easy it is! Once I did it once, I just had to keep doing it over and over again - I can actually get up to my toys now by myself and not rely on Mommy and Daddy. Ahhhhh, the beginning of my independence.....

I am 8 months old!

Just playing around

Yup, the title speaks for itself. Here I am playing under my Exersaucer. My friends Chloe and Charlie warned me that it would eventually come to this.....

Swing time

Here I am enjoying the park in my neighborhood. It's weird, first Mommy and Daddy put me in a swing when I was an infant, but now they are just finding BIGGER swings to put me in. Swinging must be all the rage!
