A Week of Firsts

Mommy and Daddy were on spring vacation so they got to spend the whole week at home with me. Since they were home I thought I would do some things for the first time. Here I am right after I rolled over for the first time. I am been trying to do this for almost a month. So you can understand the huge smile I have. You would think rolling over would be quite easy but I must disagree. It took forever, but now that I can do it I am going to do it all the time. Pretty soon I will start crawling, walking, and talking back to my parents. I can't wait.

Here is another first. I am having my first taste of cereal. I thought this stuff was really good the first few times I had it but I really like milk. So I am making it more difficult for Mommy and Daddy to feed me. You can't tell by this picture though, can you?

Goodbye Riley Hospital for Children

Here I am getting my last ultrasound at Riley Hospital. I am getting much better so I don't have to go downtown anymore. I still have some checkups but I can have that done at my hospital closer to home.

Speaking of College

Here is a small spot in the history of Carter. I was not around for this, but if it was not for this spot I would not have been born. It was on this spot that my Daddy proposed to my Mommy. Daddy had to go see a professor so Mommy and I went too. They took me around campus and introduced me to Ball State. It was OK I guess, but I think the parking could have been better.

College Ladies Man

Ok so I have not gone to college yet. But Mommy and Daddy have. Seriously though, check me out. Just me with 5 girls. Here I am with Mommy, her friends from IU, and their girls. Let's see if I can do this....we have Nikki and her girl Paige....Mommy and I.....and Virginia with her girl Siona.

Here I am laying down with the girls. You can't tell that I am loving this can you? Maybe it's the HUGE smile on my face.

4 Month Check Up Coma

I just got back from my 4 month check up where I was told by my doctor "the monopoly guy" that I am "practicality perfect in every way". However, he said it in that weird Mary Poppins voice, but since I have not seen that movie yet I didn't know what he was talking about. Neither did Mommy. Daddy caught the reference though. Daddy said Mommy has not seen any of the old classics so when I get older both Mommy and I are going to have to sit down and watch them all.

I am pretty sure that he used that same phrase with my friend Charlie. I think he has the same phrases for all of his perfect kids. Wait a second, I am willing to bet that Charlie and I are the only perfect ones he sees. Why else would he say that to us?

I get really sleepy and grumpy after my appointments because the nurse comes in and stabs be in the leg with all of these needles. They really hurt and I cry really loud (Mommy cries too). So I come home and lay on Mommy and pass out. But I feel much better the next morning. Plus I don't have to worry about getting Polio or Hepatitis. I heard those are not fun.

Time for bibs!

Here I am wearing my Carter #9 bib. For some reason all of this wet stuff keeps leaking out of my mouth. So Mommy has decided to throw these bibs around my neck all of the time. This one Aunt Donita made for me. Isn't it ninetastic?

Yes, the force is strong with you, it is

Don't I look like a Jedi with this towel over my head? Actually I just had a bath and Daddy and Mommy are transporting me upstairs for a little pajama action. This is when I get my last meal of the day and I go to sleepy sleep. Most people don't believe me when I tell them I go to sleep around 8:00 and don't get up until 5 or 6. Mommy and Daddy say I am a perfect baby. I have to agree.
